Position and Orientation

In class we have been learning about Position and Orientation.

What better way to understand distances and turns, than moving Lego mini-figures on a grid.

It's always fun when the students learn as they play.

Which is more Important - Sight or Hearing?

Hearing is not more important than eyesight.

Eyesight is better than hearing because you can see obstacles in front of you.
You can also play games.
When you go to a lolly shop you can see which one you want.

That's why I think hearing is not as important as eyesight.

Water Safety at the Pool

Today Room 7 was fortunate enough to take part in a water safety course
at the Gore Multisport centre.

The course put the children into a variety of "river simulations" where they learnt about
taking care walking over uncertain ground, climbing slippery banks and using air pockets.

 

The instructors Saraya and Leanne were fantastic and we would like to thank them very much.

Getting Creative with the Juniors

Recently Room 7 have been writing instructions.

We found purpose in writing these my teaching Rooms 1 and 2 to create puppets.

Today we were fortunate enough to have Jo Bebe come into school and teach us some first aid.

they learnt how to put someone into the recovery position and how to apply a bandage correctly.
